In most cases I try to focus on the other aspects of the prompt or if they are like "PLZ INCLUDE THIS" then I do some research and look for other fics with that element so that I have sort of a base point. Yeah, that's probably a good starting point.
I had a plot bunny for a Weasley fic too! But I must refrain until I finish like my 2939 (hyperbole) assignments! I don't write/read that much Weasley fic so it was weird when I got it. It's a new thing for me. I was formerly 95% H/D; now it's more like 75%. Weasleysfics have taken up the balance. They're insidious ;)
