i know i'm horribly late to the party, that nearly everyone read this during the huge flailing and gnashing, but i avoided it for that same reason. also, am not fond of sad endings, but agree that draco wasn't in a place for it to be otherwise. i did like it though despite the rather depressing (and eerily like my own life in some ways) ending.
i'd meant to read this ages back (after the reveal when i discovered it was yours) but never got around to it. am v. v. pleased you posted it to remind me.
and i assumed draco was not going back to harry (also just read your commentary) and i was mostly with you on harry (the over-drinking did bother me a tad, but is horridly british), ginny, the kids and the family. i understood we'd never really know what was going on with all that is weasley/potter since we were in the wrong pov for that and was okay with it. ironically a bunch of the early fest fics were angsty and did put me off reading so thoroughly. [*shrugs*] that doesn't mean i don't think you should have written exactly what you did.
thanks for an interesting read, both the fic and your thoughts after ♥
