Music upload :)

OMG I think I've got a way to not have to upload the songs for Volunteers or Ember to Ember any more! I have to check in on my account every thirty days or it all gets zapped, but it's still a huge improvement on having to re-upload after seven days :)

Here they are, in case anybody's wondering:

Volunteers

  1. Tiny Fish for Japan, by Stan Rogers
  2. All Too Soon, by Stephen Hatfield
  3. Navy Hymn *
  4. Fogarty's Cove, by Stan Rogers
  5. Abide With Me, lyrics by Henry Francis Lyte, melody by William Henry Monk
  6. Pie Jesu, by James Wright *
  7. Hallelujah (Cohen), by Leonard Cohen *
  8. The Mummer's Dance, by Loreena McKennitt
  9. Freedom Trilogy, by Paul Halley
  10. Greenman, by XTC

Songs with a * are recordings of my choir :) :)

Lyrics can be found on the Volunteers lyrics page.

Ember to Ember

  1. Labour of Love, by Stephen Hatfield *
  2. Pachelbel Canon in D, by Johann Pachelbel
  3. Beati Quorum, by Sir Charles Villiers Stanford
  4. Miserere Mei, Deus (W 1-4, 17-20), by Gregorio Allegri
  5. Lacrymosa - Requiem, by W. A. Mozart
  6. Suo Gân, arrangement by John Williams
  7. Hope For Resolution, by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory
  8. Balulalow, arrangement by Mark Sirett
  9. Praise His Holy Name
  10. Al Shlosha D'Varim, text Pirkei Avot (Mishna), music by Allan E. Naplan *
  11. Hallelujah, by George Frideric Handel
  12. Shenandoah
  13. Fields of Athenry, arranged by Mark Sirett

Songs with a * are recordings of my choir :) :)

Lyrics can be found on the Ember to Ember lyrics page.

Plus: two extra uploads that have nothing to do with the fics, just because I'm all aglow with the happy of it :)

Sabbath Prayer and Sunrise, Sunset, from Fiddler on the Roof.

Thank you!

Oh, this is great! I now have all this beautiful music downloaded onto my computer at work (where I don't normally read fic). I love choir music - but I had forgotten. Thank you for reminding me. Off to sing along now....

Oh, do you know how I can play .rar files? I don't know what those are, nothing I have seems to play them.

Yeah, whenever I'm not currently in a choir I don't think I'm missing much. Then I join up again and remember why I don't spend much time not being in a choir ;)

Oh, do you know how I can play .rar files?
Hm... I don't see any .rar files; they all seem to end in .wma or .mp3 to me. Which files are .rar for you?

Just a note, number 10 on the Ember to Ember music should be 'Al Shlosha D'Varim', not 'A Schlosa D'Varim', as it is now. ^_^

::double take::

Shit! Thank you for catching that!

Ah, no problem. I make lots of typos too. :D

Hee! Fiddler in the Roof!
I first thought it would be your choir as well.
The two songs you selected from that musical are very touching. The onbe with the second daughter leaving for Siberia is heartbreaking as well.

I really love thge variety and the quality in all the songs you shared with us. Thanks for that!

OMG I would adore one of those. Can't see it happening, but hey, you never know ;)

Far from the Home I Love. (http://www.4shared.com/account/file/45746769/60af632b/14_Far_from_the_Home_I_Love.html) Her voice is so clear and lovely, too.

I really love thge variety and the quality in all the songs you shared with us. Thanks for that!
You're very welcome! I must admit I didn't think more than a handful of people would be interested enough to download them... apparently, there were more music enthusiasts out there than I expected :)

Thank you so much for the music. *cannot stop listening to Tiny Fish for Japan*

You're very welcome!

I loved Tiny Fish when we sang it. Was heartbroken that we only sang it for one concert :(
