I mean, I love weddings because I think of how happy my own DH has made me (mostly, barring a couple of pretty awful years) and think of the couple getting married and hope they'll find the same kind of happiness I have. I can't imagine going to a wedding and feeling all bitter and angry because ONLY I deserve happiness and IF THOSE PEOPLE GET MARRIED IT'S LIKE MY MARRIAGE ISN'T SPECIAL ANY MORE OMG. And yet that's exactly what gay marriage opponents seem to believe. Baffling.
