Four Snippets and a Rec
Jan. 31st, 2007 11:29 amA few days ago I asked for time stamps for the fics I've written, and offered to write at least 100 words for each time stamp.
Problem: I blither. I can do 100 words no problem if it's a maximum, but when it's a minimum... myeah.
Um, they've grown, and will probably take a few days to complete, so until then, here's bits of almost all of them:
***
OK, this one's not mine, but I sure wish it was:
Got These Chains, by Owensmom.
Be warned: it's angsty. Angsty as all hell, but completely beautiful, too. ::sigh::

aquila_star asked for Bond, three years later:
Ta-Da!
No, just kidding ;)
That voice... it belonged to somebody in the small group of people heading out of the theatre behind them: a tall ginger man who looked vaguely familiar and a black one who didn't, and behind them a tall blond, speaking to someone partially hidden behind the ginger bloke.
"They seriously watch these things for entertainment?" said the blond. "For Merlin's sake - and that dragon - since when do dragons look like that?"
"It's not supposed to be realistic, you twit," said the black man with a laugh.
"This isn't exactly doing wonders for my respect for the Muggle world."
Dudley's eyes widened and his mother choked out a small scream as the man next to the blond became visible and the group approached Dudley's now utterly motionless family.
"I told you, it's supposed to be a children's mov - oh!" his voice cut off as he walked right into the solid block of Dudley's dad.
"Sorry!" Harry said, and then caught his breath. "Uncle Vernon!"fourth_rose: How about "Bond", the day after (as in "one day after the last scene in the story")?
It wasn't Seamus' fault. Not really. It only happened because he was supposed to be testing a new Deep Sleep spell for Charms class, but he'd forgotten to do it before bedtime, so he wound up waking up when Harry had one of his nightmares.
Although it probably was his fault that he'd forgotten to do the spell, what with being three sheets to the wind last night after Gryffindor's "Not Dead Last For the Quidditch Cup" party. Or, as Dean had called it, Gryffindor's "Congratulating the Seeker Who Beat Our Seeker Because His Own House Can't Be Arsed To" party.
The party that was probably also the reason Draco had forgotten to fully close the curtains around his and Harry's bed. Or set privacy wards.cutecoati: What about Confessions, say, two years later?
"Sir, we don't have authorization," the clerk began, and Ron rolled his eyes.
"Look, here's my badge, I already know he's here-"
"Auror, ah, Weasley," the clerk said, glancing at his identification. "Please-"
"It's all right, he's allowed in," said a voice behind Ron, and Ron tensed automatically and barely stopped himself from pulling his wand as he turned.
"Malfoy."
"Weasley."
Ron took a deep breath. Figured. Hadn't seen Harry in three years, and the first time he came to see him, the only way to get in was through Malfoy, sod him.
"Are you sure, Healer?" the clerk said, and Ron was puzzled for a moment before he realized she was probably addressing Malfoy. Malfoy nodded, his expression blank as he met Ron's stare.
"Thanks... Malfoy," Ron said tightly. "I heard you work with him now. I suppose you're here treating him?"
Malfoy gave him an odd look. "No, of course not. Come on, I'll take you upstairs."scrtkpr and
naatz: Confession is Good for the Soul, a few hours after the story ended.
Um... remember I said excerpts from almost all of the time stamps? I... kindadon'thaveanythingpost-worthyyet.caliopeamphora: Bond, "the 1st anniversary"?
"Do you ever think you missed out by not having a real wedding?" Harry asked.
Draco frowned and looked down. "Have I suddenly grown breasts?"
