• hd_holidays fic is off to beta, after some deep intervention from scrtkpr, who I can't call a beta because she's more like a midwife for this particular fic.
  
  
• hd_career_fair reveals went up. And they're very cool. Many excellent fics by excellent and well-known writers, but! Some of my favourite pieces were written by people I had totally never heard of before. I ::heart:: anonyfests.
  
  
• hp_canon_fest is coming. Slowly, but more steadily than previously expected.
  
  
• hpgeorgecentric is still doing signups. Sign up! Sign up! Sign up!
  
  
• Apparently Oliver Phelps (George Weasley) was bummed about missing Guy Fawkes Day because he was filming Deathly Hallows. James Phelps (Fred) had a fun time at ae bonfire. Guess we know which scenes are currently being filmed. ::sniff::
  
  
• My own children recently learned about Guy Fawkes. Is it wrong to be proud that my little guy recited, "Remember, remember, the fifth of November/The gunpowder treason and pot" to his dad?
  
  
• Kinda wanted to show them V for Vendetta. Decided to give them a rough plot summary instead. They're a little too young to watch Padmé/Amidala being tortured by Elrond.
  
  
• Apparently they're getting ready to film The Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings prequel. They'd started to film a Lord of the Rings sequel, about what happened to the Elves who went to the Grey Havens, but decided not to finish it because they weren't sure the public could handle what Elrond got up to post-Sauron. ( Can't imagine why )
  
  
  
• On a similar note, Warner Brothers has decided not to film JKR's sensitive and poignant exploration of how the former Death Eaters ended up working as ( escorts post-Voldemort )
