Artist's Notes: Ah, Kestrelsparhawk, I so loved all your prompts and ideas! I had the workings of a story I'd love to read, but alas I was unable to adequately convey it in pictures. Though I do hope you enjoy the image I ultimately came up with, which was inspired by your prompts of snow, art nouveau, and happy endings. Warmest holiday wishes to you! :)

Author's Notes: A few of_pinkchocolate's requests that I tried to satisfy are lots of angst and a first person narrative, as long as it didn't read like a Stephenie Meyer story. (Since I haven't read Twilight, I'll just have to hope for the best.) She also left the song prompt of Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, which I admit isn't a song I'm familiar with, but the title gave me the inspiration for this fic. I only regret it couldn't be kinkier.
