Dec. 12th, 2006 01:02 am::goggles at the date:: It has not been almost a month since I last updated!
Oh god it has.
Myeah, RL's been acting like I slept with its wife and ran over its dog, and my connection acting almost as friendly, so I've been off the internets far longer than is really healthy.

But! I did happen to catch a glimpse at Quills for a Cause Info as it flitted past on the
daily_snitch, and even managed to sign up. They're still accepting Artist/Writer Sign-ups and Sponsors Sign-ups.
Haven't signed up as a sponsor yet, but I'm planning on doing so at some point. I don't recognize any of the writers that are already signed up, but that really means nothing; HP fandom bewilders me and I'm lucky to remember my own name most of the time. Both
rurounihime and Fourth Rose made me goggle in the last month, when they posted something new, I read it & liked it, thought, "Hm, wonder if they've written anything else this good?" and found out that, yes, by gosh, they had. Lots and lots. Most of which I had also read and loved, never realizing it was all written by the same author. Or rather, authors, since AFAIK, they're not the same person ;)

Which reminds me: Sugar and Spice, by Fourth Rose? ::snork::

You know how some people have sock-puppets? Like, one person, two or more e-identities? What's that called when it's not actually a sock-puppet but just alternate IDs? 'Cause I've got two e-identities, but they don't interact and they hardly ever say "Hear hear!" in the same conversation, or get into arguments. So they're not really sock-puppets, I don't think.
And what's it called when one e-identitiy is actually made up of two or more actually people?

Quick rec: Their Kind of Forever, by Geoviki's Secret Santa
Excerpt:
"They have something called Internet -- it's like our Floo network, only you use computers instead of fireplaces."
Harry had heard about the Internet, but he'd been under the impression it was some kind of free porn provider. He based this on overheard snatches of Dudley's conversations, so Harry wasn't surprised that he'd been grossly misinformed. "So you stick your head in a computer?"

Date: 2006-12-14 05:05 am (UTC)I felt pretty dumb, though, when I read the Downpour series and then realized you'd also written Under Fingertips, The Arrangement, Nine Days, World's Edge, etc... and I'd never connected them to one author despite the unusual name. Doh. Sometimes the little hamster in my brain falls asleep at the wheel :(
