Just finished reading this:

The same types of considerations as were discussed in the asset purchase transaction part of this Chapter would be relevant in detemining whether the purchase price is payable in cash, cash plus a promise to pay, or on an earn-out basis. The most obvious security for the unpaid purchase price in a share purchase transaction is a pedge of the purchased shares. If a pledge is taken, possession of the share certificates representing the shares should be taken to perfect the security interest under the PPSA.

Clearly, I need distraction.

Tell me something? Please? Something political, random, funny, fannish, or just plain weird? And it doesn't have to be 'telling' either; links to video, music, pix, whatever, it's all good. As long as it's more interesting than the snippet above, which, you must admit, is an astonishingly low standard.

Pretty please.

Wow... That paragraph made my eyes hurt a little bit. (And not only because I'm dead tired.)

Let's see, interesting things...Here's some random stuff, out of the folder called 'Random Stuff' in my bookmarks.

http://voyager.cbe.wwu.edu/funny/student_.html The World According to Student Bloopers. Quite amusing.

You've probably seen them, but always worth a laugh: Condensed parodies of Harry Potter and of The Lord of the Rings. http://www.mollyringle.com/writing.html

Also, this is amusing. Cookie slash. http://bitter-crimson.livejournal.com/577790.html

And this is funny too... http://www.shoutfile.com/watch/gSfSsCpR/Why-People-Believe-Americans-Are-Stupid.html

That's all I can think of right now, but if you want more I can probably find something. Especially if you want fic... I have lots and lots of bookmark folders of fic. ^_^

No problem. Finding the links to these and then watching/reading them again let me procrastinate even more. Oh internet... What would I do without you? I might, you know, actually get some work done once in a while.

I know. I think she's amazing. My favourite parts are "I'll thank you not to roll your eyes at me" and "Stop crying or I'll give you something real to cry about"... I cringe when I realize how often I say such things myself. *lol* But then, I'M THE MOM, THE MOM, THE MOM, THE MOM, THE MOM, TADA!!!!!!

I couldn't even get to the end of that... my eyes glazed over and I gave up.

Well, I was going to point out Maya's journal, but as you've already got her friended that would be silly.

There's also the LJ comm [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes which has amusing things that people have said on LJ.

Business law. It is nowhere near as much fun as reading the phone book. The "Smith" pages of the phone book. ::headdesk::

I hear ya!!! I have a master's in Business Studies, so been there done that. These days I wish I had paid better attention in macro and micro economic theory and national accounting, though. :)

LOL! If I were ever faced with text like that, I sneak off and read a chapter or two of "Bond", but that might not hold the same appeal.

If I knew how to upload pictures in the "comments" on this blasted site, I'd send you one that I took in the park on Sunday of my twins chasing the squirrels all over the place; my son almost took a header into Diana's memorial fountain.
