Hey! Reveals!
Jan. 7th, 2009 11:27 pmSo, reveals are up at
hd_holidays!
http://community.livejournal.com/hd_holidays/132111.html#cutid1
And my fic (The Great Divide) was written by
scarlet_malfoy!
...and that's all I can say because I've got a date :)
But, if anybody was thinking of looking up the fic I wrote, if you can hang on a day or so, I'd much appreciate it. There's nothing wrong with what's up at
hd_holidays, and I was thrilled at the response I got, but I was hoping to tweak one piece I wasn't too happy with, and repost the slightly-tweaked version here.
Hang on, my date just decided to put another load in the washer. OMG marriage is the utter death of romance! Anyway, that gives me time to thank
scrtkpr, because I was seriously, seriously unhappy with my fic until she betad it. By the time she was done, I still didn't think it would have much general appeal (hence my squee over people's reaction to it), but really quite liked it, myself :) :) :)
Thanks,
scrtkpr! You totally rock!!
Aha, load is washing and now I'm getting an impatient foot-tapping. 'Scuse me? You can delay to put your tightie-whities into the wash, but I can't say thanks to a friend?
OK, he doesn't really have tightie-whities.
Really have to go now!

A few hd_holidays picks
Jan. 2nd, 2009 04:32 pmOK, here's my own picks from
hd_holidays. Bear in mind that I didn't have an internet connection for almost three weeks, and I've only read about six fics so far.
And I know there's a lot more really good stuff out there that I've missed. Linkies? Please?
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
- Misuse of Muggle Artifacts, for
soul_bound_8686
Author's Summary: Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy don't know each other as well as they think they do. When a disastrous attempt at courtship results in the shattering of their fragile trust, they still find themselves working together in a rush to protect their secrets, their friends, and their hearts.
Rec: It's like a puzzle that somehow, perfectly, falls into place. And it makes me want to simultaneously shake both boys, and bring them home to feed them soup. Probably laced with something not entirely legal.
Excerpt: "I feel like a bit of an idiot," Ron said, his voice strained. "I Splinched myself. I can’t believe I did that." Then he looked at the table and sounded a bit more normal as a note of indignation entered his voice. "Oy! What’s Malfoy doing with my arm?" - Father of the Bride, for
anathema91
Author's Summary: Harry's little girl is getting married, and the identity of her chosen suitor is about to open up a world of complications—for better and for worse.
Rec: Loved the plot. And the realness of the characters, and the unexpectedness of Lily Potter and Scorpius Malfoy.
Excerpt: Letting the last of his babies leave the nest had been hard. Watching her depart for a year-long Gringotts training period in Egypt had been harder. But Harry hadn't been at all prepared to steel himself for those words every doting father dreads to hear:
"I'm getting married." - Twelve Seemingly Insignificant Moments That Change Everything, for
florahart
Author's Summary: Simple moments that might seem inconsequential are the building blocks of a greater whole.
Rec: Left me kinda speechless. The moments are carefully chosen and beautifully written.
Excerpt: Scorpius barely has a chance to right himself, however, before Malfoy has scooped him up onto his lap with a quiet, "Here, let me heal those."
Watching them, Harry's image of an austere, distant relationship between them disappears in an instant. There's no question that, as reserved as the two Malfoys have appeared all day, they have a close bond and are quite used to physical interaction.
"There," Malfoy says with a gentle kiss on the crown of Scorpius' head and the boy reluctantly scrambles off of his father's lap to sit beside Al. - Not By Bread Alone, for
mizbean
Author's Summary: No man – wizard or Muggle – can live by bread alone.
Rec: I don't normally like angsty, but this one just wormed into my heart and stayed there.
Excerpt: "Going back to the Wizarding world will be expensive," he said. "Robes, potions, a new wand. Floo powder. Flowers for my lover, a ring for my fiancée … diamonds for Mother, the ones I promised her when I left. It all adds up, Harry. I need to pay for it somehow." - The Best Gift, for
sugareey
Author's Summary: Harry takes his Secret Santa assignment a little too seriously.
Rec: Hilarious. And touching.
Excerpt: “You could just get him his own coffee maker. That way he’ll never have to leave his desk,” Ron had suggested unhelpfully.
“Right, and I’ve spent an entire week watching Malfoy and trying to figure him out only to get him coffee. A universal, generic, thoughtless idea of a present.”
“Hmm, flashbacks of sixth year,” Ron had muttered.
“I heard that,” Harry hissed back, before clomping back to his desk to stare at Malfoy some more. - Let It Snow, for
kestrelsparhawk
Artist's Summary: 'Tis the season for the warmth that love provides.
Rec: Aaaaawww...
Excerpt: - Harry and Malfoy, Ministry's Yule Gala, 2008, for
sesheta_66
Artist's Summary: "Just take the bloody photograph, Creevey!"
Rec: Beautiful :)
Excerpt: - Unavoidably Detained, for
rospberry
Artist's Summary: They're about to be late for an engagement. Very late.
Rec: ::snicker:: Oh, and rrwr.
Excerpt:
And I know there's a lot more really good stuff out there that I've missed. Linkies? Please?

hd_holidays Post #15 (last post)
Dec. 31st, 2008 03:32 pm![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, possibly many people/Boris Johnson, but let’s not go there.
Summary: Harry is loaned to the Muggle government to assist relations between the two governments after the London bombings. When his counterpart in the Communications team comes to him with evidence of a plot to expose wizarding Britain, he is all ears. And only in part because the messenger has such a familiar voice.
Rating: PG
Warning(s): The promptee requested Draco dealing with the Muggle world, hence there is an awful lot of it!
Epilogue compliant? What is this epilogue of which you speak?
Word Count: ~23,500
Author's Notes: Dear Rose, I am a great fan of your work, and, as such, it pains me to admit failure. But while your prompts of politics, Draco dealing with Muggle culture and professional jobs were easy enough, every time I sat down to write angst, comedy erupted instead. I ask a great favour – that you believe they are using humour to mask their pain. Aside from that, I think I hit most of your requests, and do hope you enjoy this trifle, gifted to you in suitable appreciation of your wonderful opus. Many thanks to those who helped with it, you are all wonderful. And to the mods for their patience and support, which was above and beyond!
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco; Draco/OC
Summary: The line between love and possession is so vague that no one knows where it cuts deepest.
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): Established relationship, infidelity, angst, (imagined) violence.
Epilogue compliant? No.
Word Count: 5100 words
Author's Notes: Happy holidays,
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s):
Summary: "You've always been obsessed with Malfoy, Harry. That should probably tell you something."
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): past relationship, older Harry and Draco
Epilogue compliant? Oh, so very, but perhaps with a bit of filling-in-the-blanks.
Word Count: ~22,000
Author's Notes: Many, many thanks to my three wonderful betas and to the mods for their generous patience with me. And happy holidays to
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Blaise/Pansy
Summary: War has brought them together, for a fleeting moment.
Rating: R for two bloody scenes
Warning(s): character death, possible major character death (depending on individual interpretation), blood in two scenes (pages 7 and 11, possible to skip if you click really fast), dark
Epilogue compliant? No. Not even DH compliant.
Artist's Notes:
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
...and that's all they wrote :)
So
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
Happy New Year, everyone!
hd_holidays Post #14
Dec. 31st, 2008 09:05 amHappy New Year, Australians, New Zealanders, and all others living in the general vicinity of January 1, 2009 right now!
Let it Snow, for
kestrelsparhawk
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: 'Tis the season for the warmth that love provides.
Rating: G
Epilogue compliant? Probably more AU, but this moment is just for them so it doesn't matter when it happens.
Artist's Notes: Ah, Kestrelsparhawk, I so loved all your prompts and ideas! I had the workings of a story I'd love to read, but alas I was unable to adequately convey it in pictures. Though I do hope you enjoy the image I ultimately came up with, which was inspired by your prompts of snow, art nouveau, and happy endings. Warmest holiday wishes to you! :)
Hibiscus, for
ms_mindfunk
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: Too short a time in paradise.
Rating: PG
Warning(s): Angst
Epilogue compliant? Yes.
Word Count: ~7,300
Author's Notes:
ms_mindfunk's prompts: heat wave, rain, a snitch; enjoyed clichés (that I tried): Aurors. A large part of this might seem like AU or de-aging, but I guess you'll have to bear with it for awhile. I hope you enjoy it,
ms_mindfunk. Thanks to my awesome betas: W & B
Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, for
_pinkchocolate
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Draco/Blaise, a slight nod to Snape/Draco and another pairing I'll keep a secret.
Summary: Who did Harry Potter think he was: my knight in shining armor?
Rating: R
Epilogue compliant? If you squint. Most of this fic takes place in the years immediately following DH.
Word Count: 7,600
Author's Notes: A few of
_pinkchocolate's requests that I tried to satisfy are lots of angst and a first person narrative, as long as it didn't read like a Stephenie Meyer story. (Since I haven't read Twilight, I'll just have to hope for the best.) She also left the song prompt of Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, which I admit isn't a song I'm familiar with, but the title gave me the inspiration for this fic. I only regret it couldn't be kinkier.
Last, but not least, thank you to
taradiane and
nqdonne for being amazing mods and my beta readers.
Thaw, for
blamebrampton
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco + Ron and Kingsley
Summary: Auror training ♥
Rating: PG
Warning(s): None really, bare chests, boy kissing and prettiness.
Epilogue compliant? EWE :D
Artist's Notes: Well BB, you did say you like Aurors, otherwise this is only sketchily related to your prompts. I am trusting to the whole sharing a brain thing to ensure that you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed making them :D
Not By Bread Alone, for
mizbean
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco (Harry/Ginny, Draco/Astoria)
Summary: No man – wizard or Muggle – can live by bread alone.
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): Infidelity, prostitution, bondage, angst
Epilogue compliant? Epilogue compliant, yes. Disregards most of interview canon except for Astoria's name.
Word Count: 6500ish
Author's Notes: Thanks to my betas for their invaluable help with this story and to the mods for running such a great fest!
mizbean, I really enjoyed writing for your prompts and I hope you like this. :)

hd_holidays Post #13
Dec. 30th, 2008 10:40 pmTo balance out the supposed unluckiness of the number 13 in the 13th
hd_holidays post, this one has (lucky) 7 entries :)
Alohomora Society: A Young Wizard’s Guide to Etiquette, for
who_la_hoop
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, R/H implied
Summary: The youngest Auror in the UK continues to make errors which are blighting his reputation. In desperation, Kingsley Shacklebolt makes a deal with a former Death Eater currently on probation: make Harry Potter fit for pure-blood society, and he will receive full pardon. Fail, and it’s back to Azkaban.
Rating: R
Warning(s): Certain sympathy toward breaking rules of etiquette, males depicted enjoying the usual sorts of sexual behaviours with other males, a little angst but nothing suburban level.
Epilogue compliant? EWE. Nothing counts as canon besides the books themselves, except for random names, etc. For the perspicacious, there is a small comment on JKR’s Epilogue in the last chapter.
Word Count: Approximately 34,000 words
Author's Notes: I hope you like this,
who_la_hoop! I tried to go with the spirit of your request, since there were so many possibilities. I hope you find some of the magic creative, anyway! I took your “leather pants” comment as an inspiration for one scene (you’ll recognize it), and worked very hard to build UST. I was unable to get them into compromising situations when not yet sexually involved; Harry and I did our best, but Draco vetoed the whole idea on the grounds that he was frustrated enough.
Thanks to my brilliant betas, who took this on despite their own deadlines and helped me finish it and clean it up in the typo and Britpicking departments… Any errors remaining are my own. Please note: I’ve used my punctuation to underscore differences in attitude toward aspects of Wizarding culture; hence, Draco’s “Society” is Harry’s “society” and so forth. Italics show where the loudest part of a sentence lies, when appropriate.
More Than Blueberry Scones, for
oncologisted
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, + a spoiler pairing (not Harry or Draco with someone else)
Summary: Draco really hates Teddy Lupin. He even has good reasons for it, not the least of which being the rumors about him and Harry Potter.
Rating: PG-13
Epilogue compliant? Yes
Word Count: 5,900
Author's Notes: Happy holidays! Here, have some Teddy, and I do hope that you don't mind a touch of farce.
Light My Fire, for
sassy_cissa
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: If he could change reality, Harry would make the best of it.
Rating: R
Warning(s): A little bit of nudity, underwear, men getting a bit too happy. Nothing too graphic.
Epilogue compliant? Maybe, maybe not. I guess it has an open interpretation
Artist's Notes: M'dear, it was very difficult to think of something at first, just because I think you deserve a piece that's spectacular. I've always enjoyed your writings when I have a chance to read them, so I suppose this is something to show some appreciation. I carefully looked at your prompts and such and let my mind run away with a few ideas. So, I hope you like this! Enjoy!
The Best Gift, for
sugareey
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: Harry takes his Secret Santa assignment a little too seriously.
Rating: PG13
Epilogue compliant? EWE
Word Count: 7,687
Author's Notes: To
sugareey, I hope you enjoy this. It’s a bit softer and more Christmassy than intended, but I hope I incorporated as many little details as you wanted. Happy Christmas!!
Twelve Seemingly Insignificant Moments That Change Everything, for
florahart
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Harry/Ginny, implied Draco/Astoria, implied Ron/Hermione, Scorpius/Rose
Summary: Simple moments that might seem inconsequential are the building blocks of a greater whole.
Rating: Hard R
Warning(s): Implied Het, Non-Evil!Ginny, distinct scenes spanning twenty-five years
Epilogue compliant? Yes
Word Count: ~5,600
Author's Notes: I had a devil of a time with this one. It wasn't quite what I intended, but I hope
florahart likes what finally came out in the end. I tried to include as many of the likes that
florahart mentioned as I could (and let me tell you, it was a challenge to fit in furniture mishaps). Her one word prompts of gravity, berries, drive, spark, barefoot, column were the impetus of my choices for several of the scenes. Much gratitude to my nameless betas. Some of you may recognise the words at the beginning. I've shortened the passage and tweaked the tense, but I'd never claim it wasn't originally Jo's.
Slytherella (or a Gay Fairytale about Cinder Boy, a Prince Decidedly Uncharming and no Glass Slippers Whatsoever), for
enchanted_jae
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco (Prince Charming/Cinder)
Summary: Some fairy tales start with Grand Balls and Fair Maidens or Handsome Princes, with Fairy Godmothers that grant wishes, or even with Evil Witches that would curse one of the protagonists. In the fine tradition that many a fairytale has established, this one also begins with a Ball, where the Not-Quite-a-Maiden and the Not-Quite-a-Prince cross paths…
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): mpreg, and gruesome and merciless butchering of a fairytale. Nothing else really squick-worthy but the mpreg.
Epilogue compliant? EWE
Word Count: ~15,000
Author's Notes: Dear
enchanted_jae, I had great fun writing this fic and the plot bunny really went for your 'likes'. It's not an Auror!fic, yet there's an Auror present. It's not a Creature!fic, but creatures are mentioned. The cross-dressing was a surprise to me too and it's actually 'blink and you miss it', but somehow it slithered its way into the story.
My eternal gratitude and respect to the mods for their patience and understanding, and for the wonderful fest they manage. Thanks to D and N for betaing this. It's thanks to them that it's any good at all. I can't express how much I appreciate their help. Any remaining mistakes, plot issues and whatever else would be only my fault.
The Potter-Malfoy Problem, for
odds_are_evie
Summary: The room of requirement's gone mad — at least, that's what Harry thinks. There's no way that Draco Malfoy 'requires' him, of all people, but why does it keep dragging Harry there like he's some kind of furniture, every time Malfoy enters it? Throw in Pansy the pervert and a clipboard-wielding Hermione, and things can only go from bad to worse. And that's not even mentioning the pirates . . .
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): Hot sexin' (om nom nom) of both a top!Harry and top!Draco variety, sort-of voyeurism, bad language, a dash of girl-on-girl snogging and blatant abuse of the prompt 'pirates' to get Draco in a dress.
Epilogue compliant? Definitely not :D
Word Count: ~29,000
Author's Notes:
odds_are_evie, thank you for your fabulous prompts. You asked for plot with a side of porn (and pirates :D), with a dash of friends offering unhelpful advice, amongst other things, and I tried my level best to hit your kinks! I very much hope that you enjoy. Thanks also to NQ, who has been eight billion times more patient with me than I deserve, and is truly all kinds of fabulous.

Author's Notes: I have to thank both Sarah McLachlan and Vienna Teng for writing the songs that were my muse throughout this entire writing process. Without them, this story wouldn’t have its name, and wouldn’t have a heart. I highly recommend listening to both this acoustic version of “Possession” by Sarah McLachlan, and Eric’s Song by Vienna Teng while you read. I must also thank J for reading this first, and keeping me positive. Above all, I thank L for her amazing insight and quick beta work, and for being with me every step of the way. Lastly, I must thank the mods for working with me and subsequently putting up with me. You are the heart and soul of this fest and this fandom and you are exceptionally under-appreciated. Thank you for everything!

Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Draco/Astoria, past Harry/Ginny

Dec. 7th, 2008 10:37 pm![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, mention of D/OMCs
Summary: Harry finds he has a lot to lose this Christmas.
Rating: NC-17
Epilogue compliant? This fic is EWE. Just some good old fashioned H/D.
Word Count: 10500
Author's Notes:
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairings: Harry/Draco, implications of Harry/Ginny and Draco/Astoria
Summary: "Harry wished he didn't respond to Malfoy this way, wished his self-control wasn't reduced to nothing the second Malfoy touched him."
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Mild dub-con, bondage, sounding, casual infidelity, orgasm delay, a little rough sex. Lack of anything resembling a plot.
Epilogue compliant? Canon-compliant, epilogue-ambiguous.
Word Count: 5,300
Author's Notes: Thank you so much to my long-suffering betas, especially B. Ladies, every last one of you is an angel. I would also like to extend my gratitude and apologies to my friend P, who will likely never again answer my calls, and to William Faulkner for lending me the title. Finally, thanks to the mods for their eternal patience and support.

Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: “Joining the Promeritum is a gamble. Initiates must play to win. There are no guarantees... Those who seek initiation into the Promeritum make up the cliques that all other cliques seek to be.”
Rating: NC-17ish (well, there is sex)
Warning(s): There’s a lot of cussing (F-word warning!), a little sex, and, of course, character death. I mean, it’s written in the tradition of some classic dark teen comedies, so what do you expect?
Epilogue compliant? It’s an alternative universe fic set in an American prep school. So it’s not even canon compliant.
Word Count: About 25,500.
Author's Notes: As mentioned above, this story owes a lot to a couple of movies, in both direct and indirect ways. These include “Heathers”, “Jawbreaker”, a little bit of “Ten Things I Hate About You” and, the kicker, “Skulls 2.” The last claim is pushing it though, since I was thinking it would be cool to throw a little secret society stuff in there, and conveniently I happen to own a copy of “Skulls 2” that my mom mistakenly bought for me thinking it was “Skulls” (which I’ve actually never seen), and I ended up only watching the very beginning of it anyway, and you don’t really need to know that, so, yeah. Dark comedy AU. Thanks as always to my usual beta, you know who you are. Happy reading. :-D
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: Millimetres make all the difference; one must pay attention to the details when growing things are involved.
Rating: R
Warning(s): Mild bondage, naked men, furniture, foliage.
Epilogue compliant? Not really relevant.
Artist's Notes: Furiosity - one of your prompts was "green flame". There are no green flames in this image. Hopefully, however, you can see where the prompt influenced the setting. PS - oh-em-gee,I love your stories so damned much.
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco; mentions of Lucius/Narcissa, Ron/Hermione and random others
Summary: Draco really did pick the wrong time to enter the kitchen. It lost him seven precious months, his looks, and his mind. Still, it could've been worse - in the end, it probably saved both he and Harry's lives.
Rating: NC17 to be safe
Warning(s): frottage; wanking; much consumption of alcohol; het, cross-dressing (not H/D) mentioned also
Epilogue compliant? Not at all.
Word Count: 8,000 +/-
Author's Notes: Happy holidays

Summary: It's about time Harry returned Draco's wand, but he's taking his sweet time over it.
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): Slight filth, bad language, Draco wearing glasses, fingering, sex in an insensible place
Epilogue compliant? DH compliant. Epilogue compliant if you really feel like it.
Word Count: 6085
Author's Notes: I tried to include a good handful of your prompts, and was really intrigued by more of them than I could actually fit in. Betaed by S. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.

Author's Notes: Études Op. 10, composed by Frederick Chopin, has twelve parts to it. Three of these are mentioned within this story and if you're interested in learning about them, you can find out more about them here. Title is a reference to the song Piano Man by Billy Joel.

Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Harry/Ginny, Draco/Astoria.
Summary: Draco knew what his life was going to be like, there was never any doubt. He never expected to fall in love especially with someone who wasn't his wife. But, he did, and somehow, Harry Potter became the thing that kept him breathing.
Rating: NC-17.
Warnings: Excessive use of profanities, explicit sexual situations, angst, infidelity.
Epilogue compliant?: Yes, fully.
Word Count: 18,000
Author’s Notes: I adored writing this fic, so thank you for the opportunity, I very much hope it is to your liking,
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairings: Harry/Draco (established relationship), mention of past Ron/Hermione
Summary: Some Muggle inventions aren't all that useless for wizards after all – or so Minister Shacklebolt claims. His Muggleborn employees suspect that the real reason behind his sudden enthusiasm for magi-technical innovation at the Ministry is the fact that he found out about internet porn, but that isn't terribly relevant for the following story…
Rating: PG-13
Epilogue compliant? No epilogue, no interviews
Word Count: 1600
Author's Notes: Happy H/D Holidays,
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Ron/Hermione, assorted minor characters.
Summary: Draco Malfoy’s reappearance years after the Last Battle wreaks havoc on Harry’s carefully organized life.
Rating: R
Warning(s): a bit of violence, a bit of canoodling between consenting adult males, slightly heavy on the angst
Epilogue compliant? Pre-epilogue, could possibly be considered to be interview/epilogue compliant or not, depending on the reader’s interpretation of events.
Word Count: 11,182
Author's Notes: Happy hd hols,
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
My original idea for this was inspired by Thou Shalt Not Kill (the fifth part of Dekalog, a Polish movie series), an excellent movie – though I recommend getting something unspeakably fluffy to watch directly after!
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: After Gryffindor win yet another Quidditch match, Draco to get a little of his own back on Potter
Rating: um...R because there is a bum on show?
Warning(s): BUM!
Epilogue compliant? Could be, its more like it would be set during the 8th year...thing
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco; also Harry/Ginny, Draco/Astoria, very minor mentions of Ron/Hermione
Summary: When it comes to love, not all dreams can come true. But how do you know which dreams to let go of and which ones to hold on to as tight as you can?
Rating: PG-13
Betas: The most amazing beta team of T, U, and W - I owe you big; and also A for her input and support
Warning(s): Angst, swearing, minor violence, miniscule bit of explicit het
Epilogue compliant? Umm... epilogue-ambiguous?
Word Count: 24,500
Author's Notes: Sherant gave me a lovely list of prompts and one crucial that almost killed me (see if you can guess which one it is). Here are the ones I attempted to include in the fic: something that explores their canonical hate-obsession with each other and not the physical side - to the end that maybe they never actually do get together, or maybe they never get to/want to take it further than a touch or a kiss, at most; anger, frustration, angstyness, regret, hope; a secret uneasy truce, like when they have to be stuck together they actually can talk a bit and enjoy the company - but would likely never admit it; annual Yule Ball; a fight in the snow; winter coats in Diagon or London.
Sherant – I’m not sure how successful I was at capturing the canonical relationship and I think it’s a bit different than what you had in mind, but I hope you like it. It was a pleasure to write for you. And HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Harry/Ginny, implied Draco/Astoria
Summary: If two people love each other, there can be no happy end to it. But what if one person loves two people?
Rating: NC-17 to be safe
Warning(s): non-linear, random switching PsOV and tenses (including flagrant abuse of 2nd person), brief infidelity, rimming, implied polyamory, wee bit o’ dirty talk, smidgen of het, angst, bisexual!Harry
Epilogue compliant? I’d say this was epilogue-ambiguous, but the next-gen kids do exist.
Word Count: 4,700 approx

Dec. 2nd, 2008 02:56 pmSo yeah, there's more than two posts per day. The first of these was posted yesterday. I'm just linking to whatever is up that I haven't linked to yet :)
Merlin's Family Jewels, for
katerina_black
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: Harry has heard the stories and read the books, but even the chance to reclaim Merlin's Family Jewels doesn't justify sending him out on a mission with Malfoy... does it?
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): EWE, Creature!Fic, Explicit Sex, Parselsmut, and kind of fluffy too.
Epilogue compliant? EWE
Word Count: 7,400
Author's Notes: Thank you to my wonderful betas A, B and P, and to the Mods for their help. I hope you enjoy this,
katerina_black, I had a lot of fun with your prompts, and tried to satisfy a fair number of your requests.
Cupid’s Choice: Snake Bite & Black, for
chibitoaster
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Ron/Hermione, Ginny/Neville
Summary: Draco is introduced to Harry’s love of fruit flavoured Muggle concoctions in a tale that Mills & Boon would be reluctant to tell. A little bit of humour, a little bit of flangst, and far too much snarky Draco.
Rating: hard R
Warning(s): Frottage and hand jobs and lots of boy kissing in later sections.
Epilogue compliant? Aside from Harry and Draco’s choice of partners, mostly yes.
Word Count: 12,358
Author's Notes:
chibitoaster I so hope this has something you like. It’s not exactly what you asked for, but there’re next gen kids (which I’ve never written before) and awkward first times and romance Harry/ Draco style. Happy holidays!
Thanks so much to my amazing betas – and the mods, who were incredibly patient with me. Far, far more patient than I deserved!
It Was That Day, for
rosivan
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: This scene depicts Draco's reaction to an important memory, and is entirely open to interpretation. Some of the prompts/ideas that figured in to this piece were: the things you remember when you walk away, sudden realizations, war, trenches, traps (sort of ).
Rating: PG
Warning(s): none
Epilogue compliant? This is probably AU, so Epilogue isn't an issue.
Media: Graphite on paper and Photoshop
Artist's Notes: From her sign up post, I got the impression
rosivan liked both canon, and AU scenes. She likes both romance and angst. She likes a serious mood, a fluffy, domestic mood, even a silly mood.
I really didn’t know which direction to take, but I saw that twice she mentioned “The things you remember when you walk away…” I’m not really sure what she meant but I took that as meaning something that was a pivotal moment, a turning point, that “time-has-stopped” feeling, which tends to actually hit you later. Overall, something that has about it the feeling of a memory...

Epilogue compliant? This is probably AU, so Epilogue isn't an issue.
Media: Graphite on paper and Photoshop
Artist's Notes: From her sign up post, I got the impression

I really didn’t know which direction to take, but I saw that twice she mentioned “The things you remember when you walk away…” I’m not really sure what she meant but I took that as meaning something that was a pivotal moment, a turning point, that “time-has-stopped” feeling, which tends to actually hit you later. Overall, something that has about it the feeling of a memory...

Dec. 1st, 2008 03:21 pmHey!
hd_holidays! Has started posting!
Yes, I know, about a million-jillion other fests have started posting too. But I wouldn't be able to put recs for all of them, so for now I'll just rec this one.
No, I haven't read either of these. I won't read most of them before posting, 'cause I'm going to be linking to every single one. Plus I've got a fic of my own in here, and I would hate to either (a) have a suspicious blank when it comes to describing/reccing my own fic, or (b) burble on all sockpuppetesque on about how totally cool it is when it goes up ;)
So here's the first two submissions:
Master Work, for
draykonis
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco, Harry/Ginny, Harry/Pansy, Hermione/Ron
Summary: Harry's eighth-year at Hogwarts is going about as well as all the others. Someone is out to get him, Aurors keep questioning him about the final battle and, worst of all, Draco is determined to repay his life debt to Harry.
Rating: R
Warning(s): Minor character death.
Epilogue compliant? Pre-epilogue, implications of EWE
Word Count: 35,110
Author's Notes: Without D and J's encouragement, this story wouldn't have been written. Thank you to D (again) and to F for doing absolutely incredible jobs beta reading this story. Thank you to A for your help and advice.
Perfection, for
frayach
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco
Summary: Harry's having second thoughts, but Draco plans on convincing him otherwise.
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): Mild cursing, nudity, explicit m/m sex, four large images behind cut.
Epilogue compliant? Ambiguous enough to go either way.
Artist's Notes: I really enjoyed working on this piece and hope you enjoy it as much as I did,
frayach!
Enjoy!
And speaking of fics of my own... would anybody be willing to beta a roughly 13,000 word fic for me in the next couple of days? It's H/D as well.
Thanks!
