I definitely agree with what his daughter said - It's definitely still going to be a struggle to get equal marriage rights in my lovely country, but it will happen. I don't really think there's any way to stop it, in the long term.

Yeah, no, it's not hard at all - I made myself a template and just cut and paste it a few times, then fill in the blanks with the characters I want. Tedious, yeah. Which is why I usually only use it for hearts and

I mean, I love weddings because I think of how happy my own DH has made me (mostly, barring a couple of pretty awful years) and think of the couple getting married and hope they'll find the same kind of happiness I have. I can't imagine going to a wedding and feeling all bitter and angry because ONLY I deserve happiness and IF THOSE PEOPLE GET MARRIED IT'S LIKE MY MARRIAGE ISN'T SPECIAL ANY MORE OMG. And yet that's exactly what gay marriage opponents seem to believe. Baffling.
I think I'm still in shock over this week's events, even though I've been one of those optimists saying that gay rights are inevitable. Thank you for the lovely post.
